It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William Joseph Neylan, Jr on February 2nd, 2023 peacefully at home with loving family at his side. Born February 10, 1946 in Trenton, NJ, Bill was a lifelong resident of the Bordentown-Roebling area and recently of New Orleans, LA. He was a graduate of William Macfarland High School and employed by the U.S. Postal Service working out of the Bordentown office for 39 years and past president of his union #1913. Bill was a member of the Bordentown Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks #2085 for 52 years and enjoyed several years of employment with the Hamilton Elks.
Survived by his loving wife Elizabeth (Beth) Neylan and sons William (Tammi) Neylan of Tampa, FL, Thomas (Kelly) Neylan of Columbus, MD, John (Jasmine) Neylan of Valrico, FL, and Bryan (Shannen) Mahon of New Orleans, LA; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild; brothers Timothy Neylan of Bordentown, NJ, Patrick (Deborah) Neylan of Florida, and sister Maureen Poole of North Carolina. Preceded in death by his parents William and Ellen Neylan and brother Kevin Neylan.
Bill loved to sing his Elvis and Irish songs at karaoke and his many trips to Ireland and Grand Cayman. Bill was always the life of the party, always ready to make you a tasty cocktail and tell you a great story. He will be sorely missed.
Services will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 1835 St. Roch Ave, New Orleans LA 70117 on March 31, 2023 at 10am. Memorial contributions may be made in Bill’s honor to Our Lady Star of the Sea.
