Obituary for William M. "Bill" McDonagh

William M. McDonagh, passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 19, 2021 with his loving family by his side.

Born in Trenton, William was a long time resident of the Bordentown and Florence communities. A Graduate of the University of Rio Grande, Ohio, William was employed with the NJ Turnpike Authority, retiring after over 20 + years of dedicated service.

An avid sportsman's, William was a member of the Bordentown Deer Club for over 50 years and a member of the Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085. William enjoyed playing practical jokes and had a dry sense humor. But his greatest joy in life was his family. We are truly sadden that you left us but we know you are now happy because you are with mom.
 
Son of the late William C. and Mary McDonagh, he is predeceased by his beloved Bonnie McDonagh and sister Ann DaBronzo. He is survived by his children, Megan Barbera, Erin McDonagh, his grand children, Justin, Kinsley and Lillianna, his sister, Jane Rooney, his cousin “but more like a brother”, Henry Guire and his hunting dog Mary and many nieces, nephews and friends.

At the families request In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Williams name to The Cooper Foundation Sheridan Pavilion 3 Cooper Plaza, Suite 500 Camden NJ 08103.

Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, 100 people at a time will be allowed in the funeral. Masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced when possible. A Celebration of William’s Life will be held on Monday January 25, 2021 12:00 pm at the Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown. Calling hours will be held Monday morning from 10:00 am until time of service at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bordentown Cemetery.
