Obituary for Salvatore Ruggeri

Salvatore Ruggeri 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 30, 2022, at home with his loving family by his side.

Born in Regalbuto Italy, he moved to Germany in 1966 and met the love of his life. He then made his way over to the United States of America and started working at Rosario’s Pizzeria located in Bordentown. In 1978 he continued the family business. For almost 50 years Sal spent his days serving the Bordentown community with his contagious smile that left an everlasting impression to anyone who had ever met him. To know him was to love him. Salvatore was a selfless man who enjoyed giving to the ones he loved and seeing them happy. He had many talents and found joy in the simple things in life. The passion and love he had for his family and pizza shop was undeniable.

Son of the late Rosario and Concetta Ruggeri, he is predeceased by his sibling, Antonio, Carmela and Giuseppina. He is survived by the love of his life his wife, Dragica Ruggeri, his children, Silvana and (George) Falcone and Jenny and (Brad) Yelle, his grandchildren, Barbara, Alexia, Ava, Julia, Boaz, Christian, his siblings, Maria, Santo and Graziella, his nephew and niece, Rosario and Rosanna Mascali.

At the family’s request in lieu of flowers donation may be made in Salvatore’s name to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place • Memphis, TN 38105.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday December 3, 2022, 10:30 am at the Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown. Calling hours will be held Friday evening from 6:00 ~ 8:00 pm and Saturday morning 9:30 am until time of Service. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery Hamilton NJ.
