Obituary for Robert Richard Gendusi
Robert R. Gendusi, passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 16, 2021 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was 92.
Born in Trenton, Robert was a long-time resident before moving to Bordentown 30 years ago.
He was employed as a clothing salesman for Wallachs. He was also a member of the Bordentown Township Seniors Citizens club. In his earlier days he coached kids’ basketball at Cook AA and played ball with the neighborhood kids.
Bob will always be remembered for his jokes, joy of music and dancing. You couldn’t help but be touched by his good nature and love of life. His greatest love was his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. He will be missed by many.
The son of the late Benjamin and Stella Gendusi, he is predeceased by his brothers, Ben and Joseph. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol A. Gendusi, his children, Karen and Bob Gendusi (long-time companion Jeanie Hartwig), his grandchildren, Chad, Luke, Vince, Kendra, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made in Robert’s name to St. Jude Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place • Memphis, TN 38105.
Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, 60 people at a time will be allowed in the funeral home. Masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced when possible.
A Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held on Tuesday April 20, 2021 11:00 am at Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown NJ 08505. Calling hours will be held Tuesday morning from 10:00 am until the time of service. A private Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.
