Obituary for Richard G Pover

Richard G. Pover passed away peacefully on Friday, November 25, 2022 with his loving family by his side.

Born 1/24/1937 in Trenton NJ, where he grew up and following active duty in the Air Force lived in Saginaw, Michigan before returning to Hamilton NJ in 1972, where he resided until his retirement.

Richard enlisted into The United States Air Force in 1956 and proudly retired as Master Sergeant after many years in the Air National Guard following his active duty. He worked as an Insurance Salesman before he began his career as a property manager buying and selling properties in the Trenton area.
Richard lived a full and happy life. He enjoyed golfing & playing poker and spent 20 years after his retirement in Barefoot Bay, Florida. His greatest love was his family and spending time with them and watching them flourish. He will always be remembered for his generosity and kindness. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and he will be missed by all.

The son of the late, Frank J and Marie Agnes (Pfaff) Pover, he is predeceased by the love of his life of, beloved wife of 43 years, Joyce Ann Pover (Vaccaro), his companion, Sue Eskesen, Sister, Marie Lenart, and brothers Joseph & John Pover. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and (Stephen) Metterle, Deborah and (Chris) Hargrave, grandchildren, Stacy (Ryan) Gens, Stephanie (Ray) Fanelli, Jeremiah (Karla) Metterle, Kaylyn, Christopher, Jeremy (Malika Harper) Hargrave, Great Grandchildren, Austin, Riley, Ethan, Nico, Paige, Sophia, Olivia, Claire, & Evan. Sister, Frances Bodolosky, brother, William (Judy) Pover, sister-in-laws, Gail (Frank) Coulter, and Kathy Wicker, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, 11:30 at the Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown NJ 08505. Calling hours will be held Friday morning from 10:00 am until time of service. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s cemetery, Hamilton.
