Obituary for Peter P. Bohar Jr.

Peter P. Bohar Jr. (age 89) passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 27th at the NJ Veteran’s Home at Menlo Park in Edison, NJ. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, he was a long time North Brunswick, NJ resident before moving to Whiting, NJ twenty years ago.

Pete served in the US Navy from 1951-1955 on the USS Vesole DDR-878 in the Korean War. Pete was self-employed and owned the New Brunswick Auto Body Shop for many years located on Sanford Street in New Brunswick, NJ. His love for cars continued as he later performed car appraisals through Lombardo and then his own Bohar Appraisal Company.

He enjoyed collecting coins, playing the lottery/cards, and talking about the days of own-ing the Auto Body Shop. Earlier in life he enjoyed fishing, hunting, horses, drag car rac-ing, and smoking cigars. He was a member of the Police Benevolent Association.

He is predeceased by his wife, Jean Bohar, son, Craig Bohar, and daughter, Kim Boka, brothers, Richard C. Bohar and Albert Bohar, and nephews, Mark Bohar, Richard K. Bo-har. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Jim Psiuk, his son, Drew Bo-har, his son-in-law, Tibor Boka, his daughter-in-law, Cathy Bohar and his grandchildren, Erik (& Vanessa), Ryan (& Jackie), Jessica, Morgan, MacKenzie, Amber and Brandon.

The graveside gathering will be held on Tuesday, November 29th at 11:30 am -- Franklin Memorial Park Cemetery (1800 NJ-27, North Brunswick Township, NJ 08902). For those attending the gathering, please arrive at the cemetery by 11:15 am.
