Obituary for Nello DeChiara
It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Nello DeChiara announce his passing at the age 76, on Saturday July 23, 2022, he was surrounded by his loving family when God welcomed him into Heaven.
Born in Nocera Italy. At the age of 20, Nello immigrated to The United States to start a new life. He lived in Newark and Nutley attending dental technician school before moving to Trenton to raise a family and then finally residing in Bordentown.
He began his career as a Dental Technician working for Hutchinson Dental Labs located in Trenton, NJ. Nello then decided to go out on his own and started the Dove Dental Laboratory which he ran for over 30 years.
Nello enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors; he will be remembered for his great sense of humor. He made friends wherever he went and managed to put a smile on everyone’s face.
But his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who he would call “His Pride and Joy”. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and a caring friend and he will be missed by many.
The son of the late Pasquale and Vincenza DeChiara, he is predeceased by,
his wife Clara (Minieri) DeChiara and one brother Giuseppe DeChiara.
He is survived by his wife Anna Maria (Sangineto) DeChiara, his two sons and spouses, Pasquale and Claudine DeChiara and Giuseppe and Paola DeChiara. Nello will be dearly missed by his three grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart, Anthony, Dante and Clara. He is also survived by his brother and spouse, Luigi and Ginetta DeChiara of Calabria, Italy, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made in Nello’s name to Mary Mother of the Parish Church 45 Crosswicks Street Bordentown NJ 08505.
Mass of Christian Burial be Celebrated on Wednesday July 27, 2022 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church 45 Crosswicks Street, Bordentown, NJ 08505. Calling hours will be held Wednesday morning from 9:00 ~ 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the mass at Greenwood Cemetery Hamilton.
