Obituary for Mary E. Wolverton

Mary E. Wolverton 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday November 3, 2022, with her loving family by her side.

Born in Morrisville PA, she was a longtime resident of Trenton before moving to Borden-town and then to Wrightstown.

Mary lived life to the fullest. Growing up during the Depression; as a teenager, Mary worked on a farm. A love for baseball, Mary played in the All-American Wrigley’s Spear-mint Gum Women’s League as a catcher. Later in life Mary was employed as a Police Of-ficer with the North Hanover Police Department and then as a Bus Driver for the Northern Burlington School district. She enjoyed toll painting, traveling to Atlantic City and being a member of the Bordentown Senior Citizens group.


The daughter of the late Albert and Christina Robinson, she was predeceased by her loving husband, William Edward Wolverton, her siblings, Agnes Mitchell, Joseph Robinson, Mable Williamson, William Robinson, Jenny Laurie, Herman Robinson, Albert Robinson.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn (Darlene) Wolverton, Kevin (Ruthann) Wolverton, her grandchildren, Maureen (Keith) Tornetta, Patrick (Joanna) Wolverton, Wayne Wolverton, Ryan (Lauren) Wolverton, Kelly (Jared) Hess, her great grandchildren, Abigail Tornetta, Phoebe Tornetta, Henry Wolverton, Samuel Wolverton, Jordyn Hess, Payton Hess, Jackson Wolverton, James Rocco Wolverton, her brother, Hen-ry Robinson, and many nieces and nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s name to The Samaritan Center at Mount Holly 175 Madison Ave Mount Holly NJ 08060.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday November 8, 2022, 11:00 am at the Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown. Calling hours will be held Tuesday morning 9:00 am until time of Service. Burial will follow at Ewing Church Ceme-tery, Ewing NJ
