Maida L. Burke passed away on Friday May 21, 2021 at St. Francis Medical Center. She was 79 years old and just one month shy of celebrating her 80th birthday.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifetime resident and proud member of the Bordentown community.
Maida was employed as a Principal Filing Clerk for the NJ State Department of Health, retiring in 2002 after many years of dedicated service.
Maida’s greatest passion in life was her family. She was a loving, nurturing and selfless person who dedicated her life to her Catholic Faith. She loved her nieces and nephews dearly and always remembered them on their birthday and holidays.
Daughter of the late Edward R. and Elizabeth V. Burke, she is predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Edward R. Burke Jr. and Peggy Burke, her sisters, Betty Ann Burke and Sheila Giberson.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Anita and Leonard Ricasoli, her brother-in-law Donald H. Giberson and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Donations may be made in Maida’s name to Mary Mother of the Church Parish 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown NJ 08505.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 at Mary Mother of the Church 45 Crosswicks Street. Calling hours will be held Friday morning from 9:30 ~ 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Bordentown Cemetery located at 210 Crosswicks Road, Bordentown.
