Obituary for Laura M. Leonard

Laura M Leonard died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on November 6, 2021. Laura was born in Brooklyn, New York and lived most of her life in Columbus NJ. Affectionately known as “ Grammy”, her greatest joy in life was being the matriarch of the Leonard family.

She enjoyed traveling to Europe, sitting outside in the sunshine or reading a good book.
Cooking was very important to Grammy, and her famous meatballs were loved far and wide. Family and friends knew to go to Grammy’s house every Thursday and Sunday for Macaroni, and there was always room for one more (or ten) at the table.

Christmas time was a very special time at the Leonard home, and Grammy would start cooking for days in advance.

She was a loved by many and she will be dearly missed by all.

The daughter of the late Pasquale and Felicia (Artese) Conigliaro, she is predeceased by her beloved husband, James J. Leonard, her loving daughter-in-law, Diane Leonard, her brother and sister-in-law, Salvatore and Lillian Conigliaro.
