Obituary for Kathleen F. Marrone

Kathleen was born on May 5th. 1951, in the Fordham section of the Bronx, moving to Brooklyn when she was 17 years old. She graduated from Bay Ridge Highschool after which she worked at Goodbody and Company, which later merged with Merrill Lynch, as a funds transfer specialist. After marrying Robert Marrone, she moved to Bensonhurst, Brooklyn in 1974, then on to Staten Island, finally settling in Cranbury, New Jersey. Kathy, as she was known, was very religious and had served as a Eucharist Minister, was dedicated to prayer, hosted prayer groups and other rituals for the sick or those in distress.

While primarily a homemaker, she earned her real estate license and worked in the real es-tate business from time-to-time. Kathy enjoyed playing Mahjong, painting, arts and crafts, word puzzles, listening to music and had a not-so-secret love of the lottery and on-line card playing. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, Ian and Lindsay, and her daughter Christine.

Among other things, Kathy should be remembered for her enjoyment and love of the sim-ple things in life such as a nice dinner, a game of cards or time with family and friends.
Kathleen is survived by Robert, her daughter Christine and her husband Andrew, the grandchildren, including her step grandson Alex, sister Betty Ford, and a wonderful ex-tended family including the Sheridans and Klangs, from her parent’s side, the Marrone family and Andrew’s parents the Dicks, Paula and Brian, whom have been of great support at this difficult time, and their children and grandchildren.
