Obituary for Jillian "Jo" Russo

Dateline Bordentown

Jillian “Jo” Russo, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2024 in Elizabethtown, PA. Jo was born in Trenton, NJ, and grew up in Bordentown. Jo participated in many community groups, including dance, Bordentown Soccer Club and the Bordentown Girl Scout where Jo received the Bronze and Silver Awards. Jo played the viola from,4th until 9th grade. While attending Bordentown High School, Jo was a member of the BHRS Marching Scotties Color Guard, Choir and Drama Club. After graduating from High School, Jo was accepted and entered Elizabethtown College in the fall of 2023, where they performed in two plays The Language Archives and Little Women. They last played the character Laurie in Little Women.

A lover of all the Arts, Jo enjoyed painting, reading and music. But the greatest joy in Jo’s life was their family, friends and their collection of pets.

Jo is predeceased by their paternal grandfather, Jack D Russo Sr. Jo is survived by their parents, Jack Jr and Tera Russo, sisters, Kaitlyn L. and Faith A. Russo, grandparents, Karen and Kenneth Tomko, Debra Russo Grygon, Robin and Andrew Joel Chipowsky. Adored Aunts and Uncles: Brian and Anya, Rich and Kara, Mike and Jess Tomko, Stacy and Chris Camillo, and Jamie Chipowsky. Beloved cousins: Katria, Lesyk, Lili, Isa, Isla and Ryan Tomko, Ariana, Allison, Amanda, and Austin Camillo, and Gabe and Trinity Chipowsky, along with numerous extended family, friends, and friends who became family.

At the family’s request in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jo’s name to either the BRHS Marching Scotties or the BRHS Theater Club.

A Celebration of Jo’s life will be held on Saturday March 2, 2024 11:00 am at the Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown NJ 08505 with Pastor Emily Pombo-Wilton of the Titusville United Methodist Church officiating. Calling hours will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 ~ 9:00 pm and Saturday morning 10:00 am until the time of service. Internment will follow at Titusville United Methodist Church Cemetery, Titusville NJ.
