Obituary for James D LaCour
James D LaCour, of Bordentown Township NJ, died peacefully at home on August 27, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Trenton NJ on September 26, 1954, James was a graduate of Hamilton High West, class of 1973. He went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps and married his high school sweetheart in 1974. James loved to play sports, hunt, ride his bike and boating.
Predeceased by his parents, James and Janet (Stout) LaCour, and his mother-in-law Loretta Conover; he is survived by his wife of 47 years, Karen (Conover) LaCour, his son James LaCour Jr and his wife Melissa of Delran NJ; his two daughters, Michelle Gorski and her husband Justin, of Allentown NJ, and Kelly Hoenisch and her husband Joe, of Bordentown NJ; his six grandchildren, Aiden, Emma, Landon, Brayden, Parker, and Madelyn; his two brothers, Bruce and Jeff LaCour; his father in-law, Charles Conover, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Ferdinand Scaccetti of Hamilton NJ; his sister-in-law, Cheryl Conover of Hamilton NJ; and many other loving family members.
Jim was a veteran of the USMC and was employed by Comcast for 28 years before retiring.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 9:00-11:00 at Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St, Bordentown NJ 08505.
Directly following visitation hours, James will be laid to rest at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery.
