James J. Acton Jr., passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 29, 2022, with his loving family by his side.
Born and raised in Trenton, he was a long-time resident of Hamilton community. James was employed as a Mason with US Steel retiring after 35 years of decided service. After his retirement, James spent the next ten years working for the Hamilton School District. He was Past President and Charter member of the Trenton Ancient Order of Hibernians Division #1. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed coaching soccer.
Son of the late James J. Sr and Veronica Acton, he is predeceased by his beloved wife, Theresa E. Acton, his brother Thomas Acton. He is survived by his children, Michael and Carolyn Acton, James P. Acton, Joseph Acton and Lisa Acton, Maureen and Kent Smith, Christine Acton, his grandchildren, Michael Jr, Acton, Jacob ( Alison) Acton, James P Acton Jr., Courtney Smith. His great-grandchild, Lucy, his sister-in-law, Lorraine Acton and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday December 9, 2022 10:00am at the Church of Saint Gregory the Great 4620 Nottingham Way Hamilton Square, NJ 08690.If you are attending the mass please directly to St. Gregory the Great Friday morning at 9:15 am.
