Jack H. Hannah, passed away peacefully on Thursday January 30, 2020 at Virtua Hospital in Mount Holly with his loving family by his side.
Born in Mount Holly, Jack was a long time resident of the Columbus/Mansfield community.
As a child, Jack worked on a numerous farms and then later became a Horse Trainer for race horses. He was employed for many race horse owners, including Pittsburgh Steeler’s owner Arthur (Art) Rooney. Later in life Jack was employed as the school custodian for the Columbus Elementary School.
Jack was a member of the Mt Holly Moose Lodge No 737, the Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085 and a Life member of the Pioneer Gun Club. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved being outdoors. But Jack’s greatest joy in life was being surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren and would often say that “They made his heart smile”. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and he will be missed by many.
The son of the late David and Edna Hannah, he is predeceased by his first wife, Patricia Hannah, his siblings, Howard S. Hannah, Elsie Batterson, Janet Murphy, Marge Wright, Kathy Ronan. He is survived by his wife, Edith”Edie” L. Serafine, his children, Michael Hannah, Terri Gilliland, his stepson and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Jeannie Gelak, his grandchildren, Kasie Cottrell, Kyle and Nikki Cottrell, Colin Gelak, Lauren Gelak, Aidan Gelak, Miliza, Justin, his great grand daughter Scarlett. His siblings David and Jeannie Hannah, Joan Warren, Robert and Alice Hannah, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday February 5, 2020 11:30 am at the Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St., Bordentown NJ 08505. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday morning from 9:30am until time of the service. Burial will be private.
