Herbert C. Fues Jr., 83, passed away peacefully on Monday June 22, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Herb was born in Trenton and moved to Bordentown Twp. in 1971. He served 8 1/2 years in The Army National Guard and was a member of the American legion Post 1000.
Herb built his own home in Bordentown while working for U.S. Steel in Trenton. After retiring he started his own Electrical Contracting Business.
Herb loved to travel and took many cruises with family and friends. As an avid fisherman and hunter; Herb was a Charter Member & Past President of the Sohiwe Deer club of Hopewell.
He was a Cubmaster of Pack 65 and Scoutmaster of Troop 13 both of Bordentown. Herb was a Past Exalted Ruler of Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085. He served as Chairman of both the Bingo Committee and the PER Memorial Service. He was also an active volunteer for the Youth Actives Committee. He was a member of the Lodge Shuffle Board League and Golf League. He was a parishioner of St. Bartholomew’s Lutheran Church all his life.
Herb was a life long toy train enthusiast and belonged to the Atlantic Div. Train collector Assoc., Lionel operating train society and the train collectors Assoc.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Ann Fues, his children, Donna Zolnierzak, Anna (Bill) Lawson, Shirley (Dale) Brophy, Bonnie (John) Thomas, and Charles Fues. His 16 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday June 25, 2020 10:30am at the Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown. Family and friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and on Thursday Morning 9:30 am until time of Service. Burial will follow at Colonial Cemetery Hamilton.
Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, 25 people at a time will be allowed in the funeral home. Masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced. We have a speaker outside of the Funeral Home for people to hear the service.
