Obituary for Gary Scott Taylor

Gary Scott Taylor, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 27, 2022 at his home with his loving family by his side.

Born in Trenton, N.J., Scott resided in Yardville, Groveville and Bordentown before moving to New Egypt. He was employed with the Immaculate Conception school located in Spotswood NJ.

Scott love for the Fire Department started at an early age. He joined the Junior firefighter with Groveville Station, from there he became a member of the Holly Beach, De Cou Hose Co of Hamilton, Signal 22 Trenton, Hope Hose Humane of Bordentown and Union Fire Company No. 1 of Crosswicks in Chesterfield. A lover of animals, Scott enjoyed fishing, hunting and dirt track racing. Scott loved going to Wildwood for the Fireman’s Convention, taking trips to the shore and going to watch Cowtown Rodeo.

Son of the late George and Marie “Dee” Taylor, he is predeceased by his father, Albert “Bud” Raughley.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn Taylor, his Bonus children, Cassandra and Dominic Nisen, his sisters, Joanne Taylor, Mary Jo (Sante) Benedetti, Mary Jo (Kristin) Allen, Cathy (Allen) Church, Wendy Newton, and Debi Raughley. He is also survived by Abigail, Scott, many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday December 5, 2022 10:30 am at the Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown NJ. Calling hours will be held on Sunday evening from 6:00 ~ 8:00 pm and Monday morning from 9:30 am until the time of Service. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.
