Obituary for Gary W. Nicholl

Gary W. Nicholl passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 21, 2020 at
Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly with his loving family by his side.

Born in Trenton, Gary was a long-time resident of the Chesterfield and Mansfield
communities. He graduated from Ewing High School, class of 1962. Gary then
enlisted in The New Jersey Army National Guard, serving for six years. He was
Honorably Discharged with the rank of Sergeant. In 1966, Gary began his career as a Civil Engineer working for the State of New Jersey. He earned an Associates Degree in Engineering from Mercer County College. He retired in 2006 after 40 years of dedicated service. Gary was a member of Trenton Cyrus Lodge No.5 and The Tall
Cedars of Lebanon. He was an Ordained Elder at The United Presbyterian Church of Yardville. But Gary’s greatest joy in life was being surrounded by his family, he was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and he will be missed by many.

The son of the late Chris and Mildred Nicholl, he is predeceased by his grandson, Brett Scott Johnson. He is survived by his beloved wife, Pat A. Nicholl, his daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Paul Nixon, Lisa Nicholl, Lynn and Craig Johnson, and his grandchildren, Samantha Nixon, Zachary Nixon, Alexis
D’Imperio, Cory D’Imperio, Taylor Johnson, and Sean Johnson.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday January 27, 2020 12:00 PM at the
Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St., Bordentown NJ 08505. Calling hours will be held on Monday morning 11:00 AM until time of the service. Burial will follow at Bordentown Cemetery, Bordentown.
