Obituary for Frank T Torpila

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frank T. Torpila. He passed away suddenly on Wednesday November 2, 2022, gaining his angel wings.

Born in Trenton, he was an active lifelong resident of the Trenton/Hamilton community. Frank graduated from Hamilton West in 1969 and was enlisted in The United States Navy and served on the USS Raleigh. As a self-taught Artist; Frank was able to take his passion for drawing and painting and turn it into a successful business, freelancing and painting murals. Some of his work includes the Trenton World- Class Harley-Davidson mural and the carousel, mural and other amusement rides at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant, NJ

Frank will be remembered for his easy-going free-spirited nature, his love for Harley Davidson motorcycles, writing poetry, great taste in music, care towards all animals, fishing and traveling, and his unwavering love and devotion to his family. He was a captivating story teller, silly and kind hearted, yet bad to the bone. A very giving and memorable person.

The son of the late Frank G. and Ann Torpila, he is survived by his beloved wife, Angela Torpila, his children, Marisa and (Rich) Saavedra, Amy and (Jaime) Delgado, grandchildren, Dante, Dominic, Vincent and Antonio, his brother John and (Adelaide) Torpila, nieces, Serena (Kurt) Falzini and Vanessa Bloor, and from Italy his mother-in-law Ida, sister-in-law Adelaide and (Gianni), niece Glennis and nephew Jonathan.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank’s name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
