Obituary for Florence L. Healey (Brennan)

Florence L. Healey, passed away on Friday March 6, 2020 at RobertWood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton with her loving family by her side.

Born in the West Orange NJ, she was a long-time resident of the Whiting community before moving to Hamilton. Florence enjoyed roller skating and bingo. Florence was very active within the Whiting community; where she coordinated bus trips to Atlantic City and Saturday evening dances. Her greatest joy in life was being surrounded by her family. She will be remembered for the delicious meals she would prepare for anyone to came to visit and her famous “Homemade ice tea”. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and she will be missed by many.

The daughter of the late Florence Brennan. she is predeceased by her husband James T. Healey Jr., her son, Dennis Healey, her brother Billy Brennan, her sister, Dorothy Brennan-Kay, her cousins, Arthur Lawler and Doris Lawler.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Moira Healey, James and Carole Healey, Mike and Valerie Healey, her grandchildren, Nancy Healey and (Kevin) Grass, Kati Healey, Danielle Coluccio, Brian Healey, Andrew Healey, Hadon Healey, Dennis and (Colleen) Healey, Chrissy and (Brian) DeSousa, Jennifer Donise, Steven Healey, James Healey IV, her great grandchildren, Violet Healey, Abigail Healey, Brandon DeSousa, Christopher DeSousa, Tony Donise, Colby Donise, Rob Donise, her cousins, Charles and Mary Lawler.

A Celebration of Florence’s life will be held on Wednesday March 12, 2020 7:30 pm at the Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St., Bordentown NJ 08505. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm until time of the service. Burial will be held on Thursday morning 11:30 am at the Brig Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown NJ. If you are attending the burial Thursday morning, please meet the family at the cemetery at 11:00 am.
