Eva A. Cuzzocrea
January 4, 1939 – August 23, 2020
Eva A. Cuzzocrea, 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 23, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Eva was born in Coaldale Pennsylvania and lived in Tamaqua and then Lansford until age 13. Eva attended St. Michael’s thru 8th grade then moved to Bethlehem where she graduated from Liberty High School in 1956. Born in 1939, Eva often shared memories of her life as a teenager growing up in “The Fifties”; here are some of Eva’s favorites:

Eva attended Pennsylvania State University from 1958-1961 before starting her family. As a longtime resident of Middlesex, NJ, Eva raised 5 children, was blessed with 5 grandchildren and most recently a beautiful great granddaughter. Eva was employed by Sanofi as an Executive Secretary, retiring in 2010 after 25 years of dedicated service. Eva enjoyed reading, crossword & jigsaw puzzles while relaxing to soft music.
Daughter of the late Stephen J. and Rose M. Hutta, she is predeceased by her sister, Theresa M. Modrick, her daughter-in-law, Tamara Cuzzocrea, her son-in-law, Peter Hazlett, and her granddaughter, Illeana Hess. Eva is survived by her brother, Joseph J. Hutta, and sister, Rose A. Valent, her children: Domenic Cuzzocrea (his wife Lisa Cuzzocrea), Evanne Cuzzocrea, Amy Mohr (her husband Richard Mohr), Christopher Cuzzocrea & Gary Cuzzocrea, her grandchildren: Jacquelyn Cuzzocrea, Jaime Cuzzocrea, Valentina Hess & Samuel Mohr, her great grandchild, Evelyn Rose Cuzzocrea, and many caring nieces, nephews and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday Sept 17th 11:00am at Mary Mother of the Parish 45 Crosswicks St. Bordentown NJ 08505. Please go directly to the church Thursday morning, no calling hours will be at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery Bordentown.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
