Donald J. Kafer Sr., of Bordentown NJ, passed away on Tuesday July 28th, 2020 in Hopewell, NJ at the age of 50. He was a lifelong resident of Bordentown.
Don worked for PSE&G for 31 years. He started his career at the Mercer Generating Station before transferring to the Moorestown Underground Electric group and finished his career as a Crane Operator. He was a past member and Commissioner for Bordentown Fire District #2. He currently volunteered as an active member at Consolidated Fire Association since the age of 16. Don was also involved in both the Bordentown Little League and the Bordentown Bulldogs.
The son of the late Harold Bruce Kafer and brother of the late Amy Rainear, he is survived by his mother, Louise, his wife of 29 years, Jennifer, his two sons D.J. (Julie) and Kyle; mother-in-law, Sonia Zaborniak, brother-in-laws, Butch Zaborniak and Floyd Rainear; Uncle Roger Kafer (Carol), Aunt Donna Hesley (Jack), and many cousins, plus his godmother, Linda Phillips. He’s also survived by his cherished nephews Spencer and Benjamin Fenton and many beloved friends. Don will be sorely missed by his dogs, Bella, Piper, and Rocky.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Consolidated Fire Association, 20 Crosswicks street, Bordentown, NJ. A memorial service will be held privately at a later date.
Due to the COV-19 restrictions, masks will be required. Parking is available in the funeral home lot next to the firehouse and St. Mary's Parking lot directly across the street from the funeral home.
