Obituary

Diane Borden-Yaworski, 77, of Florence, NJ, passed away on Friday, June 26, at Capital Health System, Pennington. Born in Newark, she was raised in Keansburg, and Long Branch, and graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School.

Her upbringing left her with a life-long love of the ocean and beach. A place to which she often returned for joy and comfort. She was married to first husband, the late William Borden, with whom she had three children, Scott and Kevin Borden, and Debra Borden-Rabatie, and six beloved grandchildren, Ethan, Luke Borden, Shane, Logan Rabatie, and Kylie, Jake Borden. She enjoyed a long second marriage to, and is survived by, William Yaworski, and three step-children, Joann, William Jr., and David. She also leaves behind a loving sister, Linda Adams, two devoted daughters-in-law, Jane and Sue Borden, and is remembered with love by Patrick Rabatie. Diane worked at Selective Insurance, in Hamilton, NJ, for 20 years.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and was happiest when surrounded by family, and she was always an enthusiastic host of many wonderful gatherings, birthdays, and celebrations. Her love, kindness, empathy, care and concern for others knew no earthly bounds, and these qualities are remembered vividly by all. In many ways these qualities forged themselves into gifts that she readily shared with others, helping all to feel loved, and more complete in the process. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, in Bordentown, and later attended Holy Assumption, in Roebling, NJ. Family and faith were the twin pillars on which she built and shared her entire life. She shared her love and life readily asking nothing in return. As a result, love was returned to her from all. She always loved a party or celebration, and we know the Angels have already celebrated her arrival and are enjoying her company. She is loved eternally, and is missed now, and forever.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Diane’s memory to a charity of one's choice.

Viewing(s) will be held at the Bordentown Home for Funerals, Crosswicks, St., Bordentown, NJ, on Thursday, July 2, from 6:00 -8:00 p.m., and Friday, July 3, from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. A mass will follow directly after, at 11:00 a.m., at Mary Mother of the Church Parish 40 Crosswicks St., Bordentown.

Scott, Kevin, Debra, Bill and Linda,
We are saddened. You have our deepest sympathy. Diane was our Chesterfield friend and neighbor for so many years. She was a good person and so very sweet and kind. The Borden and Webb children spent many a fun childhood days together. Mostly at your house, as your mother was always so gracious and considerate. And, she made the best pancakes! She certainly led a beautiful loving life and was so very proud of her children and grandchildren. She will certainly be missed by her many loved ones. Sending our love and our prayers to you and yours. Affectionately, The Webb Family.

Anyone who knew Mom / Nana knows she treated anyone in our lives like family, and would have done anything to help anyone who needed it. She was beautiful, inside and out, and thought of others her entire life. She was the Mom and Nana that lived to be part of every family holiday, event, Scout meeting, sports practice, fundraiser, game, or anything else for her children and grandchildren. She supported us no matter what, and her love was a gift to us all. Heaven truly, truly, gained an Angel, and our entire family already misses her more than words can say. Thank you to the literally hundreds of people who have reached out to share their memories of her. She made an impact on many people's hearts. Please keep our family in our prayers.

There are too many beautiful memories that will remain with me until I meet you in heaven. You were the best cousin I had and will miss you beyond words. My heart breaks to know I will not have our summer weekend ritual with You, Deb and the boys. Your gone in body but not in spirit. Rest in peace my beautiful cousin 💔
