Obituary

Dateline Bordentown

Conrad H. Eichinger, 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 6th, 2020 at his home with his loving family at his bedside.

Born in Florence, NJ, he was a longtime resident of Bordentown, NJ.

As a child, Conrad enjoyed spending time at his family’s business, Eichinger’s Bakery, located in Bordentown. Later, he served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. After his service, Conrad worked in the flooring business, ultimately ending up at Capital Floors, where he remained for the rest of his career-- until age 88.

A parishioner of Mary Mother of the church Parish, Conrad was a longtime member of the Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085. As a member of the Elks, Conrad volunteered for many committees, including Bingo and charities. He enjoyed the Elks’ annual trips to Wildwood, NJ where he marched and participated in the float competitions. Conrad was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan, and he also enjoyed traveling with his wife, especially on Starr bus Tours. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love of sports games. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and he will be missed by many.

The son of the late Conrad and Reba Eichinger (Archer), he is predeceased by his beloved wife, Stella M. Eichinger (Bilancio), and his siblings, Theresa, Violet, Rebecca, Elizabeth, and Robert.

He is survived by his two daughters: Donna Marie Estwan and husband Stephen J. of New Egypt, and Deborah Ann Eichinger and significant other Larry Archer of Bordentown; three grandchildren: Genaro A. Tuccillo and wife Courtney Hengeli-Tuccillo of Chesterfield, Julia Marie Weiss and significant other Eric Durso of Bordentown, and Donald Tarasiewicz and wife Ashley of New Egypt; five great-grandchildren: Gabriella, Madison, and Natalie Tuccillo, and Donnie and Taylor Tarasiewicz; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, 100 people at a time will be allowed in the funeral home. Masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced when able.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ 08505.
