Catherine Irene Donnelly, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Preferred Care at Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, Irene lived in Hamilton before moving to Bordentown in the 90’s.
She was employed as a Marine Operator for AT&T and retired in 1987 after over 30 years of dedicated service. Irene was a proud parishioner of Mary Mother of the church, she was a member of Rosary Altar Society, Mary’s Weavers, and the Bordentown Senior Citizens. Irene enjoyed gardening, knitting, playing the piano, tap dancing and painting china plates. But her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother a caring friend and she will be missed by many.
The daughter of the late, Francis and Theresa Patton, predeceased by her husband of 30 yrs. William C. Spencer and her 2nd husband John Burke Donnelly, her daughter Linda Grayson, brother, Francis Patton. She is survived by her children, William F. Spencer, Gail M. ( Gregory) Harrison, son-in-law, Fletcher Grayson, her grand children, Jacob (Kimberly) Harrison, Jesse (Jessica) Harrison, Kristi (Carl) Smith, Julia Grayson, Cameron Grayson, great grandchild, Roy Clinton Harrison, her dear friends Patty & Lorraine Humble, Margie Kreidler, and several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, 100 people at a time will be allowed in the funeral home. Masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced when possible.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday September 14, 2020 11:00 am at Mary Mother of the church Parish, 45 Crosswicks St. Bordentown NJ 08505. Calling hours will be held on Sunday evening from 6:00 ~ 8:00 pm and Monday morning 9:30 ~10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery Hamilton.
