Obituary for Carol Redwood

Carol M. (Baumann) Redwood, age 80, of Bordentown, NJ, passed away Monday, August 29. Born in South Amboy, NJ, Carol grew up in Sayreville and was a graduate of St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Trenton. She worked in the operating room at St. Francis Medical Center for many years, and then at Deborah Heart and Lung Center until her retirement. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, and she dedicated her life and career to helping others.

Carol enjoyed sewing, cross-stitch and watching classic old movies. She loved spending time with all her family and her pride and joy were her children, grandchildren and great grandchild.

She was the daughter of the late Mary and Alfred J. Baumann Sr. Carol is predeceased by her husband Thomas M. Redwood and her sisters Marie Koch and Joan Baumann. She is survived by children, Thomas M. Jr. and Jill Redwood, daughter Colleen Redwood, son Patrick and Trish Redwood; her grandchildren Danielle Redwood, Kristin Semus and husband Anthony, Lauren Redwood and Patrick Redwood; great granddaughter Letty Mae Semus. Also surviving are her beloved sisters Ann Baumann, Phyllis Baumann, Nancy Nita and husband Joseph, and brother Alfred J. Baumann Jr. and wife Georgia, and many dear nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday September 9, 2022, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Calling hours will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 ~ 8:00 pm and Friday morning for family members from 9:30 -10:30 am. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bordentown.
