Obituary for Betty Bennett

Betty Bennett, 92, passed away on Tuesday in The Samaritan Center at Mt Holly, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she resided in Chesterfield for the past 59 years.

She is predeceased by her husband Robert Hilliard Bennett. She is survived by her daugh-ter Cindy Bennett; and her four sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Bennett, Alan and Rosemary Bennett, Hugh and Linda Bennett and Gregg Bennett; her grandchildren, Sara, Rachel, Chris, Melissa, Tom, Miriam, and Madeleine; and her great-grandchildren Caleb, Trent and Truman.

Betty was a 1947 graduate of Upper Darby High School. A year later, she married Bob, the love of her life. Betty and her family became one of the original residents of Levittown, PA in 1952 before moving to Chesterfield in 1963.

Betty loved her family and animals of all kinds. She raised St. Bernard dogs and later turned her passion into a business when she opened Three Bridge Boarding Kennel in Chesterfield. Her customers and their pets became a part of her extended family.

Burial and services will be held at Mt. Sharon Cemetery in Springfield Friday October 14, 2022 at 2 pm.
