Obituary for Barbara McCarty
Barbara M. Kostrub-McCarty, 80, of Bordentown NJ passed away peacefully at home on 29 December 2021.
Barbara was born in Roebling, NJ to Michael Kostrub and Mary Barkowski on November 29th, 1941. She went to school at Holy Assumption in Roebling. She was married to Robert R. McCarty, Sr on May 23rd, 1964 in Roebling, NJ. She graduated from Cathedral High School in 1963. Barbara was an employee of the Bordentown Regional School District as a teacher’s aid and secretary to the assistant principal for many years, as well as the Public Employee Relations Commission.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. McCarty, Sr.
Barbara is survived by her children, Robert R. McCarty, Jr, of Leesburg, GA, and Kierstan J. McCarty, of Bordentown, grandchildren, Emeline M. McCarty and Robert R. McCarty, III of Leesburg, her sister, Michelle (Kostrub) Bugyi, and brother, Donald Kostrub, brother in law Bill McCarty, sisters in law Lois (McCarty) Greenwood, and Cindy McCarty, and many nieces and nephews. She will forever be missed but never forgotten.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, 11 February at Bordentown Home for Funerals at form 10 am -12pm with Marc Bookholdt officiating. Inurnment will be at the NJ State Police Memorial Garden in West Trenton at a date to be determined.
